Boston, MA: Pro Audio Design Inc (PAD) has announced that the company’s founder and President, Dave Malekpour, will host two AES Academy sessions titled ‘Room Acoustics & Monitoring’ at the NAMM Show this year.
AES Academy Sessions:
Friday, June 3rd – 3pm – 5.30pm, Room 202B
Dave Malekpour will be joined by special guests – including GRAMMY® award-winning producer/engineers including Young Guru, Hyde, IRKO and Rafa Sardina – to host in-depth sessions on Room Acoustics and Monitoring, designed for industry professionals.
Saturday, June 4th – 4.15pm – 5.30pm, Room 202B
From concept, to completion: The panel will take an in-depth look at the design, construction and completion of Top Dawg Entertainment’s new studios. Panelists include Keaton Smith, General Manager of Top Dawg Entertainment, Summer Walker of You’re Safe Here interior design, Yuriy Sogomonov of TE Builders, Michael Bashkhangy, the architectural designer for Malekpour Design Partners, and Luis Valdez of Jocavi Acoustics.
During the sessions, Malekpour will share a unique insight into his approach to workflow and loudspeaker technology that has influenced some of the world’s best-known artists and producers.
At Booth 15311, PAD will also be showcasing the Augspurger MinimaX speaker (MX-65), the company’s first speaker designed for the consumer market, a range of Augspurger main studio monitors, and the TAD Laboratories Inc. E1-TX mastering system. Earlier this year, Pro Audio Design Inc. was announced as the official distributor of TAD Lab’s products across North America.

Malekpour Design Partners, which is a PAD subsidiary, is also nominated for a TEC award in the category of Outstanding Creative Achievement / Studio Design Project for its work on High Level Entertainment music production facility, with the winners announced on Saturday, June 4th at The NAMM Show TEC Award ceremony at the Hilton Anaheim Ballroom.
